Chair Stevens questions Summer Rising transition for providers losing Compass sites
Stevens asks about the plan for providers running Summer Rising who will lose their host sites after summer. Officials describe coordinating closeout processes, transition convenings between CBOs, and connecting with school leaders and communities.
And just even thinking about summer, because I know you brought up summer.
So as we're thinking about summerizing, just going to record again.
Everybody knows I don't like that program.
Anyway, I just always have to say it.
But anyway, wanting to think about the...
who would be running and operating Summer Horizon and then not having a host site going back and moving forward.
What's the plan around what does ZYCD plan to support those providers who programs are closing out like right after that and and also just kind of considering what the morale for some of these programs going to going to be for this summer and closing out.
So I think, thank you, Chair.
It's a good question because there's two parts to this, right?
There is the contracting closeout process, but we want to make this process as humane as possible.
So our teams will be coordinating with those CBOs to have conversations on the process itself from the contracting side, from the financial side, and also that transition between CBO to CBO,
coordinating transition convenings between CBOs, connecting with school leaders and community to, again, really emphasize, like, this is not just about the contract, it's about the people on the site as well.
