The more meaningful chunk of money is not about a conflict between sanctuary city law and eligibility requirements.
It's the Department of Homeland Security's allocation levels to New York State, which were dramatically cut
under Secretary Noem, and we were hopeful that the president would overrule.
Unfortunately, we have not seen those dollars yet for federal fiscal year 25.
