Chair Lee closes FDNY hearing
Chair Lee thanks FDNY for extending their time, acknowledges Chair Ariola's passion, and expresses understanding of the difficult capital process while committing to partnership. She closes the hearing for the day.
No, I just wanted to thank you all for extending your time because I know that we are past the time and thank you for sticking around and answering all of our questions.
And I admire Chair Areola's passion, and I hope you understand that it's, as someone who's been through the capital process before with the city on the nonprofit side, I understand it's a horrible process that's very slow.
There's a lot of regulations, tons of regulations.
But, you know, Chair Areola, myself, and I think all the other council members, we do want to make sure that
we understand your priorities, that we're able to support it where we can, and that we are partners with you because we do care, as you obviously just heard from Chair Areola, about the firefighters that are serving our city and keeping us safe.
And so just wanted to thank you for being here today and for the hearing.
And I think if there's nothing else, I think we are done for the day.
So thank you so much.
Thank you.
Thank you, Chair Lee, for your partnership.
