Tisch provides updated hate crime data through April 30 showing all hate crimes down 5.4%, anti-Semitic hate crimes down 8.4%, with arrests up 7.9% overall and 10.3% for anti-Semitic crimes.
Let me give you the numbers, more recent numbers for
hate crimes.
This is as of the end of last month, so it doesn't include May.
We'll report on May tomorrow.
So as of April 30th, all hate crimes citywide are down 5.4%.

Hate crimes against Jews or anti-Semitic hate crimes represent 56% of the total.
Anti-Semitic hate crimes are down this year 8.4% again as of the end of April.
In addition to that, and I think importantly, enforcement of hate crimes is up in New York City.
So arrests for hate crimes in New York City this year are up 7.9% and arrests for anti-Semitic hate crimes are up 10.3% this year.
