Chair Schulman on DFTA collaboration and marketing sexual health services
Schulman asks about marketing services for older adults. Martin confirms meetings with DFTA Commissioner McKenzie. Bronson describes outreach through community partners, planning bodies, and advisory groups to ensure providers are aware of programming.
I wanted to ask, so my understanding from the commissioner for the Department for the Aging that they want to work with you on this, so I presume that you're going to be doing that.
Absolutely.
We've met several times with Commissioner Lisa Scott McKenzie.
Okay, good.
How are you promoting this?
How are you marketing this, marketing the services that you have?
Well, we work very, very closely with our wide array of community partners.
This programming is really going out into the community to support those service providers, clinical, non-clinical providers who know the needs of these communities and work closely with them to provide services directly.
So we do a lot of work through our planning bodies, our advisory groups, to ensure that all of our community partners are aware of current and upcoming programming so that they can take advantage.
Okay.
I have a lot more questions, but I want to give my colleagues an opportunity to ask questions, so I'll come back on second round.
Okay, great.
Okay, we'll start with the Majority Leader, Bray, you followed by Councilmember Narcisse.
