Chancellor on capital projects and FY27 executive budget
The Chancellor reports 42 capital projects completed and $555 million spent on completed and ongoing projects, then turns to the FY27 executive budget thanking the Mayor for fully funding the PSC-CUNY labor contract and baseline funding $50 million.
Over the past year, CUNY brought 42 capital projects to total completion.
We have also spent a total of $555 million towards both completed and ongoing projects,
representing meaningful progress in the ongoing effort to modernize and preserve critical infrastructure across the university.
In my submitted testimony, you will find a list of notable projects brought to completion this year.
I will now turn to the
Mayor's Executive Budget for Fiscal Year 2027.
Let me begin by thanking Mayor Mandani for fully funding the cost of the PSC-CUNY labor contract and completing the funding for health insurance in the preliminary budget.
Additionally, I'd like to thank the Mayor for providing baseline funding for the $50 million originally included in last year's executive budget.
On the capital side, we're thankful for the $50.8 million toward needed state of good repair work, in addition to the $7.1 million from the borough presidents.
We ask that you support the inclusion of the priorities listed in the submitted testimony and in our green sheet.
