Speaker Menon questions OMB on response timeline for budget follow-up letter
Speaker Menon raises that OMB took nearly two months to respond to a council follow-up letter sent April 6th, and secures a commitment from Solomon to provide more timely responses going forward.
Okay, going to turn it over to Speaker Menon first for her questions.
Okay, thank you so much for your testimony today.
A number of questions.
So first of all, just a process timeline question really coming from our finance team.
So after our preliminary budget hearing on the 25th, the council sent a follow-up letter to OMB requesting additional information regarding the budget.
That letter was sent on April 6th.
We didn't receive a response until June 2nd, nearly two months later.
So we want to get your commitment moving forward that that won't happen again and that we get timely responses to the council's requests.
Yes, we will work on.
Making sure we speed that up for you.
Great.
Okay.
