Morano asks about LGBTQ-targeted outreach events

Are you able to tell us how many outreach events specifically targeted LGBTQ plus veterans and were conducted by these liaisons either last year or the last fiscal year?

So I'm going to pass this question to Nicole.

So as more recently, I am taking a closer look at the type of

of events that we have been doing across all five boroughs.

What's different this time around is that we are being very intentional as to if we go to a specific borough, what type of service are we, who are we teaming up with, why are we teaming up with them, and the type of services that

the individual, the veteran will get if they decide to go to this specific nonprofit.

So I just want to discuss what we're doing internally right now.

Internally, I am updating our partners that we have.

Even our partners have to go through an intake process.

Soon we'll need to go through an intake process again.

If we're going to be partnering up with individuals, I want to make sure that

With nonprofits, we want to make sure that veterans themselves do get the support that they need when they do go to these great partners that we have.

In the last fiscal year, we had three events that were specifically targeted for LGBTQ plus veterans, but then every month there is a Veterans Mental Health Coalition meeting that includes topics on LGBTQ plus support.
