Q&A

Morano questions Cobbs on additional health care gaps

New York City Council · Jun 22, 2026 · starts 1:36:42 · 1 min 15 sec

Morano asks Cobbs if there are health care access issues the committee hasn't touched on. Cobbs emphasizes the importance of the city remaining a safe environment and keeping queer veterans a priority population, offering to follow up with colleagues.

Frank Morano

I'd love to take a look at those reports prior to publication.

Frank Morano

Just a quick question.

Frank Morano

I appreciate all the work that went into your testimony.

Frank Morano

And I'm certainly eager to use the New York Health Foundation as a partner and a resource going forward.

Frank Morano

You focused on a lot of the things that we spoke about today, the gap in data, other things of that nature.

Frank Morano

Is there anything that you think that we haven't touched upon today that...

Frank Morano

Would better help the LGBT community get access to health care and health care-related services that they're not currently getting.

Frank Morano

Anything we're missing as a committee or based on the folks that have testified so far?

Amelia Cobbs

I would say that I think we've really touched on so many important topics for queer veterans.

Amelia Cobbs

I think it's just the idea that the city continues to be a safe environment and that queer veterans remain a priority population.

Amelia Cobbs

And if there are any more specific ideas, I would love to get back to you with conversations with my colleagues.

Amelia Cobbs

Please.

Frank Morano

Thank you very much.
