My name is Taylor Brown.
I use she, her pronouns.
I serve as the inaugural director of the New York City Mayor's Office of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual Affairs.
Thank you to the members of the Committee on General Welfare and Committee on Women and Gender Equity for the opportunity to testify on the critical issues of housing instability and homelessness among LGBTQIA New Yorkers.
I appreciate the City Council's attention to these issues and desire to work towards meaningful solutions.
I appreciate the testimony and ongoing partnership with my fellow agencies represented here today and across the administration, as well as the community-based organizations, advocates, and community members working every day to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to safe, affordable,
and stable housing and supportive services.
