My name is Vinnie Thong, and I'm a current student at Queens High School for the Sciences.
I am here to testify about the Green Economy Action Plan.
As a student, it is essential that the EDC and the City Council focuses on youth internships and jobs.
Specifically, it is essential that New York City public schools are considered sustainability initiatives.
Implementing sustainability projects within the department.
It is also essential that New York City public schools sustain future-ready programs and help grow this program to all schools across public schools.
As a student, we are the future of
New York City and it is essential that student voice and student engagement is heard throughout this process.
Currently, I am 15 and in about 20 years when I see the full effect of the Green Economy Action Plan, I will be around my 30s.
