Hankerson explains vote - parks, Baisley Pond Park, street sweeping
Council Member Hankerson briefly thanks Speaker Menin for parks advocacy and capital funding for Baisley Pond Park, and the mayor for baselining street sweeping on Liberty Avenue and forgiving Rochdale Village water bill interest. Votes aye on all.
Hankerson.
Permission to explain my vote.
Permission granted.
I'll be very brief because I spoke already, but I just want to thank Speaker Menon again for her advocacy on parks as well as the entire finance team, Nathan and his team, for the hard work that they did over these past few months.
I want to thank the Speaker's Office for the capital funding for Baisley Pond Park.
It is something that my constituents have been waiting and looking for, and so thank you for that.
I also want to thank the mayor and his team for baselining street sweeping funding for the first time ever for Liberty Avenue, as well as negotiating a deal for the good folks at Rochdale Village to forgive their interest on their water bill.
Thank you so much.
I vote aye or no.
Thank you.
