Chair Sanchez welcomes committee and apologizes for delay
Chair Justin Sanchez opens the hearing, apologizes for the delayed start, thanks attendees for their patience, and acknowledges council members present including Lewis, Zhuang, Carr, Thomas-Henry, and Maloney.
Good morning and welcome to the Committee on Sanitation and Solid Waste Management.
I am Justin Sanchez, Council Member and Chair of this committee.
Thank you all for joining us today and truly, truly, truly apologize for the delay in this morning's proceedings.
That is not the way that we like to operate on this committee, so really apologize and thank you for everyone for being here on time.
It is truly appreciated.
And also working with us to change the committee to an earlier time because the entire plan was to get everyone out earlier if I hadn't been so late.
So thank you everyone and I'd also like to acknowledge the council members who are with us here today.
