Councilmember De La Rosa expresses support for 511 West 171st Street ANCP project
Councilmember Carmen De La Rosa strongly supports the application, explaining it will renovate three buildings with approximately 52 units, convert them to cooperative ownership, and provide affordable homeownership for existing tenants and 14 first-time buyers.
I'm going to allow Councilmember De La Rosa to say a few words before we start with the panel.
Thank you, Chair.
I strongly support this application.
This project will renovate three buildings with approximately 52 units in total.
These units will convert to cooperative ownership.
There are 36 existing households and 14 will be first-time home ownership purchasing vacant units.
This project is sorely needed in a district like Mines.
This project will ensure affordable home ownership and will make sure that existing tenants are able to finally own their apartments.
And so I wanted to express my support for this project today.
Thank you.
Thank you, Council Member.
