Hankerson explains vote, shouts out paraprofessionals who shaped him
Council Member Ty Hankerson, noting he is one of the youngest council members, shouts out specific paraprofessionals who became like family to him in school: Ms. Barnes, Ms. V, Ms. Cookie, and constituent Ms. Talia who called him daily about the bill. He votes aye on all.

I just want to say very, very briefly to our powers, this is
a proud moment and congratulations to you all because the work that you do is vital to our school communities and I'm going to just reiterate what I said in committee as one of the only council members that's just a little over 10 years removed from high school.
I think she got me beat just a little bit, just a little bit.
I want to just shout out some of the powers that, you know, though I wasn't their student, they became like family to me.

Talia, who called me almost every day about this bill.
This is what you deserve, and I can't wait for not just this, but for more things to come.
