Abreu asks about multi-agency coordination and advertising
Abreu asks whether there will be coordinated multi-agency outreach similar to prior programs and whether DOF will advertise through other agencies' websites. Lee confirms DOF will use all communication methods and work with partner agencies. Abreu also asks about proactive outreach to small businesses and eligibility assistance, which Lee says DOF can explore.
Yeah, the committee is aware that prior amnesty programs included multiple agencies involvement in implementation, including DOF, Environmental Control Board, the Mayor's Office of Operations, Law Department, and issuing agencies within the project implementation team.
Would there be a similar coordinated project implementation outreach for this current program?
Yes, we will use all communication methods with
news outlets with all elected officials and outreach teams at the different and impacted agencies.
To ensure that we have success in the program.
Is DOF planning to advertise the ECB amnesty program through other city agencies'websites as well that issue ECB violations for example?
For example, Department of Buildings, Department of Sanitation, DOT, et cetera.
We are constantly working with our partner agencies, and we'll continue to do so.
Will DOF proactively reach out to small businesses with outstanding ECB judgments that may benefit from the program?
We can explore that.
We can explore ways that we can directly reach out to constituents.
Will DOF provide assistance to respondents in determining whether their judgments are eligible for the program?
Yes.
That is something we do for all of the customers that come in through the Department of Finance.
And at the moment, do you have a projected cost to notify the public of the program?
We don't have a projected cost.
We are all working internally with our budgeted figures.
Whenever you get that information, it will be great.
You can pass that along to the committee.
I will now go to the second round of questions.
One second.
Beginning with Council Member Ressler.
