Councilmember Farías questions on elevator access and parking circulation
Farías asks about elevator access to the lower parking level, learning Target owns its level as a separate condominium. She suggests exploring construction options to improve traffic flow to the bottom lot, citing Bruckner Plaza's Aldi's as a model for up-and-down parking access, and encourages coordination with Bally's and PepsiCo on traffic solutions.
hopefully we may be able to work with DOT to come up with, you know, a better solution, potentially, again, increasing the use of Lafayette Avenue as opposed to the traffic coming from the service road.

Councilmember, yes, we were all prepared and hired an engineer that actually did a traffic study and actually did a traffic remediation plan along Lafayette.
We were surprised because we were moving ahead with it because we were moving ahead with it.
Because the previous administration backed away from the bike lane proposal in Lafayette.
So we were good to go on that remediation project.
Actually, a week before we presented to Community Board 10, I was in touch with Bronx DOT, and that's when they told us they can no longer work on our plan because it would interfere with their proposed bike lane.
So if, you know, that project falls by the wayside like it did in the past, you know, we're still open to do traffic remediation on Lafayette.

I don't remember from when Party City was open and even from the blood center.
I recently gave blood there.
Is there an elevator that goes down that can bring people down to the bottom parking lot?
Or is that solely for the use of Target?
