Opening of 815 Hutchinson River Parkway hearing
Chair Thomas-Henry opens the preconsidered LU hearing for 815 Hutchinson River Parkway, a commercial rezoning in the Ferry Point neighborhood of the Bronx in Councilmember Aldebol's district, seeking to change M1-2 to C8-3 to allow large retail including a supermarket.
We will now move on to the hearings that are scheduled for today.
Beginning with the public hearing on pre-considered LU regarding 1815 Hutchinson River Parkway, a commercial rezoning proposal in the Ferry Point neighborhood of the Bronx in Councilmember Aldeball's district.
The proposal seeks to change an existing manufacturing district to a commercial district to allow large retail establishments of 10,000 square feet and larger at an existing commercial center.
Although there is a target that is larger than 10,000 square feet at the site, it is located below grade and the shops at the street level are limited to stores smaller than 10,000 square feet.
