Q&A on graffiti concerns and quality of life balance in outdoor dining
Menin responds to a question about graffiti provisions, explaining the bills aim to help small businesses while addressing quality of life issues raised by community boards, striking a balance between support and accountability.
So that concludes our stated agenda.
Sure.
We always want to be able to strike that balance.
But graffiti was one of the issues that came up time and time again in the community meetings that we had.
We heard from a lot of the community boards.
We're not looking to penalize small business owners at all.
I think what you see from this package of bills, on the contrary, is we're really helping small business owners by fixing what was really a broken outdoor dining program and extending this to be year-round.
But we don't want to completely ignore quality of life issues that were brought to us.
