Commissioner Martin concludes testimony with appendix timeline reference
Martin concludes by referencing a detailed day-by-day timeline appendix provided to the committee, reiterates the hearing is about honoring those who died, and expresses readiness to answer questions.
Before I conclude my testimony, I'd like to direct your attention to the appendix and the printed copies you all have in front of you.
I've walked through the major points in our response to the Upper East Side Legionnaires cluster this July, but this testimony is not a comprehensive report.
To that end, we have included a
timeline detailing every single step of our response day by day.
I hope you'll find it a useful record.
Each step we took to cut off any bacterial source was in service of keeping as many New Yorkers out of harm's way as possible.
I want to end today where I began.
This hearing is ultimately about honoring the people who died in connection with this summer's cluster.
As we continue to discuss the technical details of our interventions, I want to keep their memory at the heart of this work.
Thank you, and I look forward to your questions.
Thank you, Commissioner.
I'm now going to hand it over to Speaker Menon for her round of questioning.
