Chair Louis questions on site location relative to Jackson Avenue

New York City Council · Sep 9, 2026 · starts 1:39:37 · 1 min 3 sec

Chair Louis asks about the site's relationship to Jackson Avenue. Lobel uses the area map to show the site sits 200-240 feet from Jackson Avenue, creating a wide expanse at the confluence of the two streets.

Christina Zapansky

The applicant's proposed project had changed after the certification of the project.

Farah N. Louis

All right.

Farah N. Louis

And can you please explain further the location of the site in relation to Jackson Avenue, which is significantly wider than 46th Avenue?

Richard Lobel

Sure, I think we can step back to the area map if we can.

Richard Lobel

The site sits on the corner or off the corner of Jackson Avenue and 46th Avenue.

Farah N. Louis

If we could pull the slide back up, please.

Richard Lobel

It would be the colored land use map, probably the sixth or seventh slide in the pack.

Richard Lobel

So just to summarize, when you take a look at the, yeah, keep going, right there.

Richard Lobel

So you can see the building highlighted in red and Jackson Avenue, the dark line immediately perpendicular to that site.

Richard Lobel

That distance between the site and Jackson Avenue is roughly 200 to 240 feet.

Richard Lobel

So really what you end up with is kind of this wide expanse because of the confluence of those two streets.

Farah N. Louis

All right, thank you.
