Council Member Schulman questions on McDonald Park funding and stormwater
Schulman asks about funding improvements to McDonald Park. Lobel confirms willingness. Schulman raises stormwater concerns, noting the area floods increasingly and concrete front yards contribute to 108th Street flooding. She asks the applicant to be mindful.
The borough president recommended the project fund improvements to McDonald Park, which is nearby.
Is that something the applicant would consider?
We would definitely consider that.
Okay.
And I know you mentioned about the stormwater and all of that, which I appreciate.
You know, just so you know, that area has more and more become flooded when we have these rainstorms.
So...
That's an issue.
And the more development we have, you know, all over the place, not just there, but...
It's a problem.
And the, so in that area, it was rezoned and there was a lot of legislation way long time ago, but a lot of the homes that are there have concrete in front of them and not green.
So that contributes to 108th Street getting flooded.
So I want you just to be mindful of that.
That's all the questions I have right at the moment.
Thank you.
I have others I'll let you know.
All right.
Thank you, Council Member.
This panel is now excused.
Thank you.
Thank you.
