Public testimony: Andy Lee opposes, cites traffic and PS1 event congestion
Andy Lee, a homeowner with a baby, voices concern about the tight single-lane road, truck blocking, and traffic from 84 new units. He notes PS1 weekend events already strain the block and the building would only subtract from community value.
We will now hear from Andy Lee.
Andy Lee.
Are you guys able to hear me?
We can.
You may begin.
That's good.
Thank you for your time and thank you for all the considerations.
But I do want to just voice my concern out here just to say this is outright very much against the community value that we have in this avenue.
So 46th Avenue is very tight.
It's a single road.
I just was walking my baby coming into home, and there's a big truck just blocking the road the whole time.
And there's parking on both sides of the road.
And more 80s...
Sorry, the baby's crying.
The 80s unit is definitely not going to help with the traffic that we are having here.
Every summer, there's every single weekend events.
This is a great community value add, but if the adjacent building is not contributing any additional factors into it, this only does the minus rather than any additions to it.
And I've been hearing a lot of concern from the 45th group, which as a homeowner as well, that would be very...
Depressing to say the least to hear there is an 11-story building going up the road up that's blocking their
balcony backyards and mind the personal privacy that is going to overarchingly look into that area as well.
I just want to voice that concern and echo everyone's concern that was raised in this call.
Thank you.
