I just want to briefly emphasize a point made by our public advocate.
The Bronx has obviously been historically a challenging borough in our city on the issue of crime.
And for that reason, we can't talk about public safety and crime in our city without putting an emphasis on the Bronx.
And if my reading of the comp stat number is correct,
40% of the shootings and 40% of the shooting victims and 40% of the shooting incidents have been in the Bronx.
Out of all the incidents that we've had related to murders, shooting incidents and victims, about 40% of each of those have been in the Bronx.
