Felix asks for raw felony assault numbers by category
Feliz asks for raw numbers. Hout provides: 8,275 domestic violence felony assaults, 2,165 assaults on police and public safety employees, and approximately 14,834 other assault cases, totaling 20,356 through August.
Can you provide some raw numbers on that?
So we've had about 21.5 thousand felony assaults this year.
Can you provide some raw numbers?
How many of those were domestic violence incidents, attack on government workers, police officers, firefighters, and et cetera?
Yes.
Just going to go over them.
So if you look at police officers and public safety employees combined, that's 10.6% of our felony assaults, or roughly 2,165.
That's assaults on POs and assaults on public safety workers.
What about the rest, domestic violence or any other?
So domestic violence is 40.7%.
I'm going to get the right numbers right now.
All right, so about half of a little more than, a little less than half than 21.5.
So it's about like 9,000.
Yeah, so for DV, our felony assault is 8,275.
And like I said, 92% arrest rate on that for domestic violence assaults.
And that's compared to the overall of 20,356 through August.
Okay, what about the rest of the felony assaults?
So about 8.2 thousand domestic violence, about 2.1 thousand government and assaults on police officers.
What about the remainder?
So the remainder are just going to be assault twos.
That's about 14,000.
And felony assaults, that's about 14,834.
That could be if the person's seriously injured, if they're elderly, over 65 years old, or something like that.
Okay.
