Dinowitz closes hearing after no additional testifiers
Dinowitz thanks DOE and all who testified, says much work remains on communication, best practices, and rigor. He asks if anyone else wishes to testify, sees no one, confirms no one on Zoom, and adjourns the hearing.
Thank you for your testimony.
Although, you know, we have your lot to say what you want to have to forcefully push back and say your child should aspire to be a politician.
It is a very, it's a great, you know what?
Because we're here today talking about a critical issue, the critical issue of portrait of a graduate.
And that could be your child on this great dais with these cups, these dentist cups.
But I do want to thank the Department of Education, all of the people who testified today.
It's clear that this is an issue that people care about deeply because they care deeply about the future of our city and care deeply about our children.
It's also clear that there's a lot of work to do, that there are a lot of people outside of the D.A.
and within the DOE who are being very thoughtful about this work.
But there is so much more to do in terms of the communication, in terms of sharing best practices, ensuring we are holding ourselves to a very high,
rigorous standard so that we are seeing our children for who they are and giving them the best education possible.
So I want to thank the DOE and everyone who testified.
Once again, and this hearing.
Will be adjourned once I read this very important message.
If there's anyone else present in the room who has not had the opportunity to testify but wishes to do so, please raise your hand.
Seeing no one else who actually wishes to testify.
Anyone on Zoom?
There's no one on Zoom.
Okay, now I can officially close out the hearing.
Thank you.
