Brewer asks Briceño about guidance on staying non-political
Brewer asks Briceño whether he received guidance on avoiding political content after transitioning from campaign to government communications; Briceño says he has media training and focuses on straight facts without swaying the audience, and believes other content creators do the same.
And so when you were also part of the group of people who were participating in the campaign and then you switched over, is that correct?
Yes, that is correct.
And you were, were you given, I would say, guidance on how to be not political when you're part of a government?
listserv, so to speak, or it was just known that that's how you have to be?
No, I think I've had experience in media training, and so for the most part, I never, what I tend to focus on is literally the straight facts, and literally, you know, I don't try to...
sway the audience to think one way or another.
I just literally say the facts.
What are people talking about?
And as my content is usually very dry because it keeps to the fact.
Right.
Okay.
And you find that that's true with some of the other content folks also, is it keeping to the facts?
I think so.
I believe so.
From what I've seen and what I've connected with.
Okay.
Thank you very much.
Thank you.
