Cabán closes with call for trans children to grow up as trans elders
Cabán says she wants every trans child to grow up to be a trans elder, able to play, make friends, engage in sports, build a family, and enjoy New York City. She thanks everyone for the shared commitment and closes the hearing.
And I want to close by saying it is really, really simple.
I want, we want every trans child to grow up to be a trans elder, period.
And I want those kids to be able to play, to make friends, to engage in sports, to build whatever kind of family they choose to build in and to enjoy.
What I view as the best city on the planet.
So I just, I've been really moved by the testimony today and all of our shared commitment to really looking out for each other.
I know that there is a lot more that government needs to do and we're here to fight to be able to do that.
And just thank you.
