Cabán presses DOHMH on directory accuracy and resources
Cabán says DOHMH is relying on providers to report changes and asks about other ways to verify accuracy. Howard says a comprehensive survey is planned for the fall and asks the Council to flag inaccuracies; Cabán suggests proactive outreach to advocacy groups.
Okay, thank you.
Yeah, I think you're acknowledging sort of the gap that people can proactively tell you things are changing, but some people you're going to end up having to chase down.
Obviously, NYU, Mount Sinai, that's...
It was big news, so it was easy to track that down.
But are there other ways that you're looking into whether the directory is accurate?
And how often are you finding that you're doing it or that you think it necessitates doing?
And also, how is that process being resourced?
Yeah, so as I mentioned, we're currently planning to launch a survey later this fall so we can do a content.
comprehensive update.
In the meantime, if any of you know of any information that is inaccurate, please let us know and we can reach out to the provider and verify.
Okay, great.
And, you know, I think even in terms of being proactive, obviously there are lots of organizations, service providers, advocacy groups that are on the ground and
have relationships with families that are navigating this in real time.
So I think that also might be a good place to do some proactive outreach to get that information more quickly.
