Chair Williams thanks attendees and adjourns hearing
Chair Williams thanks everyone for standing up for Puerto Rico and for their testimony. She notes that written testimony can be submitted within 72 hours and adjourns the hearing.
So thank you.
Everyone, thank you for standing up for Puerto Rico.
Thank you to the chair, Natasha Williams.
Thank you so much for your testimony and for standing in solidarity with the people of Puerto Rico.
Thank you.
Thank you, Councilmember Alexa Aviles, for co-chairing this hearing.
We had such a positive day, and we're going to continue to have a positive day for the people of Puerto Rico, as well as telling our stories and making sure we preserve them, especially in the times we are in today.
So if there's anyone else present in the room who has not had the opportunity to testify but wishes to do so, please raise your hand.
And if there's anyone else in the audience that has a burning thing they want to say, I think we have 10 minutes before we get kicked out.
You know the saying, you don't have to go.
You don't have to say, what is it?
You don't have to.
Yeah, you don't have to go, but you can't stay here.
Got you.
So seeing no one else who wishes to testify, anyone on Zoom?
No.
Okay, seeing no one else wishes to testify, I would like to note that the members of the public who are not able to testify can still submit written testimony to testimony at council.nyc.gov within
72 hours of this hearing.
This hearing is adjourned.
Thank you all so much.
¡Que viva Puerto Rico libre!
