Roberta Pineda introduces herself and LPA collections
Roberta Pineda introduces herself as the first Latina Executive Director of the Library for the Performing Arts. She describes LPA's 15 million items, hybrid research and circulating model, and collections like the Theater on Film and Tape Archive.
Good morning, everyone.
My name is Roberta Pineda, and I am proud to be the first Latina Executive Director of the Library for the Performing Arts.
LPA, which is located on the Lincoln Center campus, houses one of the world's most extensive research collections with items of theater, film, dance, music, and recorded sound.
We have over 15 million items in our collection, as well as an array of circulating and reference materials.
Our hybrid model as both a research and circulating library was the first of its kind when we opened in 1965.
