Lasry says FIFA gave $1M for Club World Cup, second $1M not received
Thomas-Henry asks Lasry's thoughts on Resolution 655 calling on FIFA to pay the $1 million legacy contribution. Lasry says the host committee received $1 million from FIFA for the Club World Cup and FIFA said it might give another $1 million, which has not been received.
And my final question is your thoughts on our resolution today, which calls on FIFA to provide New York City with the $1 million legacy contribution associated with hosting the tournament as promised.
The FIFA $1 million?
Is that what you're talking about?
So we did get a, we got $1 million from FIFA that was used towards mini pitches throughout New York and New Jersey.
And then we also made sure that we put forth some of our own funds that we raised.
So in a lot of our sponsorship deals, we made sure that we tried to add many pitches in that.
But yes, we did get the one.
We got $1 million from FIFA for Legacy.
So we did get the money.
There was $1 million that we got from FIFA for Club World Cup.
They had then said that they were...
I got to proceed.
They were then saying that they would possibly give us another million dollars, which we so far have not received.
And I think, again, it wasn't Tiffany Townsend.
I'll get you.
Tiffany Stenard.
Tiffany Stenard.
Okay.
Thank you.
That's it for me, Chair.
Thank you so much.
