Q&A

Thomas-Henry thanks BID panel and urges early engagement

New York City Council · Sep 30, 2026 · starts 2:34:40 · 32 sec

Thomas-Henry thanks the panel and says their testimony answered what could be done better. She says the city should engage BIDs, chambers, and hotels now for the next major event and asks them to submit their recommendations.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

Thank you.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

Great testimony.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

I was going to ask what we can do better, but you answered.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

So please submit your testimony so we can jot all of that down.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

And I don't know if you heard it earlier, but we did recommend to the team that they work with the bids, the chambers and the like and hotels now.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

Right.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

It's.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

We know what can happen.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

We know what's going to happen as soon as the next two years from now.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

They should be engaging you guys now.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

And if they don't, please let me know.
