DeFalco closes DEP testimony and offers questions
DeFalco says NYC has made progress since Sandy but the challenge remains enormous. She says the city must ensure billions in coastal infrastructure work together and are ready for the next storm.
Thank you again for the opportunity to testify today.
New York City has made enormous progress since Hurricane Sandy, but the scale and challenge ahead of us is equally enormous.
We now have billions of dollars of coastal infrastructure moving from planning and design into construction and operation.
Our job is to make sure those investments work together, that somebody is accountable for them, and that most importantly, they're ready when the next storm comes.
That's what we are building at DEP.
My colleagues and I are happy to take any questions that you might have.
