Emergency management tracked this weather system for four days before the first raindrop fell, activated the flash flood plan early, and scaled operations as the forecast worsened.

50 flood sensors in real time, sent 32 Notify NYC messages, worked with 39 strengthening community partners to reach more than 200,000 people
in 12 languages, and received more than 1.8 million social media views and impressions.
Notify NYC now has more than 1.65 million subscribers, with 22,000 added just this weekend and more than 234,000 added since the start of the year.
Enrollment in our basement apartments alerts has grown nearly 30% this year to more than 8,000 New Yorkers.
Our Instagram has grown by 38% this year with over 5,000 new followers this past week.
This weekend, we delivered 51 flood barriers kits and 24 pump kits to residents in the Rockaways and Howard Beach.
The Downtree Task Force was activated and received close to 2,700 requests.
And much of the City Council was directly active with me and with our team through the duration of the emergency.
