Farías asks about internal contract database for smoother transition
Farías asks whether the internal contracting database is part of the plan. Delany-Brumsey says yes, it is part of building OCS's contracting function, and Sethi says a working group with other city agencies will coordinate and communicate with providers.
And is that also connected to the work that you're doing to having an internal contracted database where we're hoping payments and that structure continue on for a smoother transition?
Absolutely.
That's part of the work of building out our own contracting function internal to OCS.
And we'll do that.
We're aiming to do that in such a way that we can have as effective a contracting shop as possible.
And I'd say that this is another thing that we're sort of doing, you know, with other city agencies that are involved.
in this process, right, as we think about what this will take in launching, you know, a coordinated working group to really figure out what the steps are.
And I think, you know, for providers that are our providers, we will do our best to be in communication with you.
Please reach out and ask questions, right, because I think that's also the other piece is as this happens, how are we communicating the steps over and over again?
And I will just add to that that Commissioner Sethi is the person on the team who is managing the working group to support this build out with other agencies.
So that focus on domestic and gender-based violence is front and center there.
