Santosuosso asks how CVAP RFP ensures NYPD collaboration
Santosuosso asks how the CVAP RFP will ensure precinct-based advocates work collaboratively with NYPD rather than as siloed outside workers. Sethi says NGBV has built relationships with NYPD and cites a recent success getting posters about CVAP advocates placed in precincts.
And then, sorry, one more thing.
With regard to the Crime Victims Assistance Program, RFP, what work is going to be done to see that the folks who are placed in those precincts are sort of
working with the NYPD and the precincts in a way that is productive and collaborative and actually integrative versus as sort of an outside siloed worker.
Yeah, that is definitely, you know, part of what NGBV has been doing since we sort of started, you know, administering CVAP as a contract.
And so we will continue to do that in terms of like bridging the, you know, at PD, making sure we have the right relationships with folks that are senior enough to move a thing.
You know, we have really close relationships with the folks that do the domestic and gender-based violence work.
And we're working on getting, you know, the CVAP advocates the support they need at the precinct level as well.
So we're here and we really hope to continue playing an active role in making sure that that relationship is working the way we think it should.
