De La Rosa thanks committee staff and turns back to Speaker
De La Rosa looks forward to hearing from experts and to working with state and federal partners, and thanks Technology Committee staff including Irene Bayofsky, Eric Brown, and her own team led by Chief of Staff James Burke.
I look forward to hearing from the industry and experts about this technology and how it is impacting our city, what safeguards exist, what solutions are possible.
As we consider how to govern around AI, I also look forward to working with our state and federal partners to ensure that New York
fully benefit from the advancement of AI without compromising our safety and privacy.
I'd like to take a moment to thank the Technology Committee staff and all of the staff in the City Council, but most especially our Legislative Council, Irene Bayofsky, and our Policy Analyst, Eric Brown, as well as my team, Chief of Staff James Burke,
Hiba Imad, Frey Familia, and the Speaker's team for working countless hours to put this hearing together.
