Graham on Anthropic's New York investments and state partnerships
Graham says Anthropic shares the Council's goals, supports the RAISE Act, works with NYC Cyber Command, and employs nearly a thousand people in New York. He emphasizes the importance of state and local government roles in AI safety.
I want to emphasize that we share the council's goal of protecting New Yorkers while preserving what AI can do to improve their lives.
And state and local governments have a role to play in that effort.
Today, we're working closely with state and city leaders to safeguard critical infrastructure and to harden cybersecurity capabilities.
And we want to continue that work.
This includes, for example, working directly with the New York City Cyber Command as part of our program that provides free cloud credits and training to state and local governments for cyber defense.
At Anthropic, we believe in New York City, and we're making big investments here.
New York is where AI is being put to work in finance, media, culture, and where we employ nearly a thousand of my colleagues.
