Chair Gutiérrez outlines hearing goals and thanks attendees
Gutiérrez states the hearing will examine lessons from 2K's first year and plans to address systemic issues. She thanks subcommittee members, staff, and testifiers.
We'd like to look at what lessons the administration has learned so far from implementing 2K for this first school year and how the administration is planning to address longstanding issues in the early childhood education system.
I want to thank members of the Early Childhood Education Subcommittee who joined.
We've been joined by council members Kayla Santuoso.
I should have started with Councilmember Simka Felder.
He was here right before.
