Council Member Brewer thanks Phillips and asks about Robin Hood training
Brewer thanks Phillips for answering emails and asks about a Robin Hood-funded training event she attended. She asks about goals for the program and how achievement will be measured.
Thank you very much.
First of all, Ms.
Phillips, thank you because you answer emails.
I was very impressed.
I don't know you, but all of a sudden I say she answers emails at all hours of the day and night.
I like that.
I went recently to something in East Harlem.
I happened to just pop in.
I'm known for showing up everywhere, and I do.
I didn't know what the hell the event was.
It said something about child care.
It was phenomenal.
It was Robin Hood paying for unbelievable...
Development for providers.
So my question is, are some of these individuals who are providing part of that program, that program is phenomenal.
So I just was wondering that, because my question is, what are your goals for the development of this program?
You've got early language, you've got literacy, you've got school readiness.
And so how are you going to know if you're achieving these goals?
Obviously, with training like that, it would help a lot.
So I'm wondering about the training for the teachers and Robin Hood in particular.
