Epstein describes Midtown Justice Center roundtable and report
Epstein says the Midtown Community Justice Center convened a November 2025 roundtable with NYPD, DCWP, Central Park Conservancy, Manhattan DA, DOT, Times Square Alliance, and Broadway League. He notes the May 2026 report produced recommendations reflected in today's bills.
Recognizing the system's not working, November 2025, the Midtown Community Justice Center, which adjudicates criminal summonses for pedicab violations,
organized a roundtable discussion with representatives from various stakeholders involved with the affected by the pedicab industry, including NYPD, DCWP, Central Park Conservancy, Manhattan DA's office, DOT, Times Square Alliance, and Broadway League.
In May 26, the Justice Center published the report with goals of policy recommendations generated from stakeholders on the roundtable.
A lot of those bills are being here today.
