Ortiz testifies on Intro 64 theater-district pedicab restrictions
Ortiz says Intro 64 would prohibit pedicabs from stopping, standing, or picking up/dropping off within 50 feet of theater entrances in the theater district and require DOT signage. He notes pedicabs already face curb regulations and defers to DOT and NYPD.

It would also require the Department of Transportation to post signs or other markings indicating the areas in which such pedicab restrictions are applicable.
Pedicabs are already subject to all existing curb regulations for vehicles, such as existing no standing space.
