New York City Council · Oct 7, 2026 · starts 0:07:41 · 31 sec

Clerk calls Councilmember Brooks-Powers, who asks permission to explain her vote and is granted. She congratulates Salaam, says her construction-impacted district supports the bills, asks to be added as a co-sponsor of Resolution 328, and votes aye on all.

Council Staff

Brooks Powers.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

Permission to explain my vote.

Shanel Thomas-Henry

Permission granted.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

I just wanted to congratulate Councilmember Salam on these two very important bills.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

Having a district that has been impacted greatly by construction and how it's impacted our small business, I think this is a step in the right direction.

Selvena N. Brooks-Powers

I'd also like to be added as a co-sponsor of Reso number 328.

And with that, I vote aye on all.
