This morning, I was proud to make an announcement along with a number of colleagues here and the mayor that the council is expanding
a pilot program that expedites the distribution of funding to not-for-profit so that they can receive it in 30 days.

Together with the mayoral administration, this initial discretionary grant pilot had originally last year served 100 not-for-profits.
Now we're doing an expansion to benefit over 800 not-for-profits.
That are working on the ground to improve the lives of New Yorkers.
Specifically, the streamlined process eliminates over half a dozen steps of the bureaucratic odyssey that previously burdened not-for-profits.
So we look forward to making it easier for more not-for-profits to access the funding that they were promised in order to help keeping the people of our city.
