Council staff call the Committee on Finance vote to order, ask attendees to place electronic devices on vibrate, and tell Chair Lee the committee is ready to begin.
Council Member Linda Lee convenes the meeting as Chair of the Committee on Finance and introduces herself to the room.
Chair Lee reads the roster of committee members present, naming Aldebol, Narcisse, Marte, Morano, Feliz, Aviles, Brooks-Powers, Hudson, Restler, Sanchez, Williams, Wong and Maloney, and notes Gennaro is on Zoom.
Chair Lee states the committee will consider and vote on two pre-considered resolutions approving real property tax exemptions under Article 11 of the Private Housing Finance Law.
Chair Lee identifies the two projects: Fordham-Bedford Cluster Phase 1 in the districts of Council Members Dinowitz and Feliz, and Gowanus Green A in Council Member Hanif's district.
Chair Lee invites members to make statements or comments on either resolution; no member offers remarks.
With no discussion, Chair Lee asks the committee clerk to call the roll on the two items.
Committee Clerk Ben Jacobs identifies himself and announces a roll call vote on the two pre-considered items.
Clerk Jacobs calls each member in turn; Chair Lee, Gennaro, Brooks-Powers, Feliz, Aviles, Marte, Narcisse, Maloney, Sanchez, Wong and Morano each vote aye, with Feliz adding congratulations to everyone.
Clerk Jacobs reports the tally: 15 in the affirmative, none in the negative, and no abstentions on the two resolutions.
Chair Lee initially says the vote will be held open for Majority Leader Abreu, who had not yet voted.
Chair Lee decides to close the vote without waiting further, thanks the members, and adjourns the committee's business.
