Sanchez asks Miflin about other cities' three-stream containers
Sanchez asks whether other cities have used three-part container bins. Miflin says such bins are used in Buenos Aires, Bogota, Europe, and a Los Angeles pilot, and that New York is unusual in using them only for trash.
A question on that.
Have there been examples of other cities that we could look at that have done the three-part type container bins?
Yeah, everywhere else these bins have been used in the world, from Buenos Aires, Bogota, to Europe.
Even LA are doing a pilot now with all the streams, apparently.
Great.
Everywhere else they've been used like this.
This is a new idea to use them just for trash and lock them.
This is the only city that does that.
Great.
Thank you so much for your testimony.
We appreciate it.
