De La Rosa asks about White House task force and developer liability
De La Rosa describes the White House superintelligence task force and asks whether SpaceX supports holding frontier AI developers legally liable when wrongful acts are carried out through their models; Castillo-Madrid cites White House company responsibility commitments.
I want to ask one more question before I turn it to some of our colleagues.
The White House task force.
on superintelligence was established by presidential executive order and is intended to advance the application of existing liability laws
to AI companies while directing the Department of Justice to prioritize enforcement of certain criminal statutes against those who use AI unlawfully.
The task force held its first meeting yesterday.
Do you support holding frontier AI developers legally liable when wrongful acts are carried out through their models?
If so, under what circumstances should the liability rest with the developer rather than the user?
As part of the White House reports that you stated, one of the first ones is company responsibility, and companies acknowledge that they're responsible for developing technology safely
and for building public trust around it.
