De La Rosa thanks Kim and opens public testimony
De La Rosa thanks Kim and his attorney for their bravery and insight, says the Council will use the testimony in its legislative process, then opens public testimony and explains decorum, two-minute speaking limits, and how to submit written testimony.
Council members, we're good?
All right.
Well, thank you so much for your questions and, again, for your bravery today and for being here.
We really appreciate you giving us insight and understand that there is trauma associated with your departure from the company and the way you were treated.
And so we really appreciate you giving us some insights and helping us to work around our legislative process to make sure that other workers are protected in this space.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you both.
I now open the hearing for public testimony, and I remind members of the public that this is a formal government proceeding and the decorum should be observed at all times.
As such, members of the public shall remain silent at all times.
The witness table is reserved for people who wish to testify.
No video recording or photography is allowed from the witness table, and furthermore, members of the public may not present audio or video recordings as testimony, but may submit transcripts of such recordings to the Sergeant at Arms for inclusion in the hearing record.
If you wish to speak at today's hearing, please fill out an appearance card with the Sergeant at Arms and wait to be recognized.
When recognized, you will have two minutes to speak on today's topic, which is the continuing discussion about the risk posed by artificial intelligence.
If you have written statements,
or additional written testimony you wish to submit for the record, please provide a copy of that testimony to the Sergeant at Arms.
You may also email written testimony to testimony at council.nyc.gov within 72 hours of this hearing.
Audio and video recordings are not accepted.
