Chair Williams asks what DCLA will propose for CreateNYC's original vision
Chair asks what funding, institutional, or priority changes DCLA will propose; Vij says DCLA is gathering feedback and will share measurable priorities, but is not sure it will be a full-blown plan.
Okay, the last question is what changes to
funding allocations, institutional arrangements, or city priorities, is DCLA prepared to propose to fulfill Create NYC's original vision?
Yeah, well, yes, we are in the process of doing this, these public engagements and collecting information and feedback from folks all over the city, different parts of the field, and also just New Yorkers that are
participating in the cultural life to distill those top priorities and using lessons learned from that first plan really come up with.
What is like measurable priorities for us to implement for this administration.
Okay, and in that vein, will the next plan include dedicated funding, name agency responsibilities, measurable targets, enforceable deadlines?
If not, how will it avoid repeating all the same accountability gaps?
And then lastly, like from a visionary perspective, what concrete outcomes should New Yorkers expect by 2030?
And when and where will DCLA publish progress against those commitments?
Well, we are certainly committed to releasing our findings and priorities from that.
I'm not.
Sure that that will be a full-blown plan, but it will be
direction that the public can see that they have participated in and put forth for us.
And we are, you know, we'll be sharing that in the upcoming months with more detail.
Thank you.
